Eeek..please do not blame me if I happen to reject any your calls via my house phone. I currently have a
phobia of phones.
Case 1:
On a wonderful evening, when I was trying really hard to cram Chemistry, lots of phone calls came. First, it was my mum's friend who kindly accepted that my mum was still working. She called half an hour later and asked for my mum again. This time, she sounded as if my mum owed her something, quite demanding but in reality, that was her original tone. Scary.. Then she called again, half an hour later, I was rather afraid of the phone now but still accepted the call because my father was busy with the dishes.
Thankfully..my mum came back =)
....end of ordeal 1.
Case 2:On that very same evening, before my dinner..my aunt called and spoke in Chinese. She was excited about something but I had no idea what it was. Yup..a few seconds later, she put down the phone. Before doing that, she said she would call my mum's office. Okay, good one, xiaohua.
By then, my father and I were quite irritated by the phone..
So when dinner came, aunt called the house to no avail.
Why?
'Cos both me and my father decided to ignore it..Lol
No escaping..because very soon later, my father's handphone began to ring. Gosh! My desperate aunt!!
When he answered, it was just about an upcoming Family Day all over at the other end of Singapore, held last Saturday. Sigh..should have known.
Case 3:..which happened to be yesterday. My mum called while I was having my habitual Saturday afternoon nap. Yup..made her give up on me =) Decided to wait for the person to hang up but the incessant ringing grew on me.
And so I tried..I tried to take my time to crawl across the bed. It took ages..but when I reached there, my mum hung up. - . -
Tried to sleep again but to no avail..so I woke up to sit in front on the computer. 5 mins later..it came again. Picked it up..the question asked, ''Can you check for me if there is any spaghetti left?'' Roar!!
Case 4:
..which just happened a couple of hours ago. Jie called..both my father and I picked up at the same time. Quite freaky..because my mum was complaining that she could not get to my sister via her handphone throughout my dinner. Haiz..was expecting a less lively dinner but it turned to be more of a nag on..me. It's not my fault. =(
So..as if my sister can read her mind, she called. yay! Never talked to her though..
About 15-30 mins later, Jon called. Mum picked up this time..one in ten calls. - . - Whoa! Spoke with a different accent that almost made my mum hung up on him. Wahahaha..that would have been entertaining. Question asked when it was transferred to me, "May I know how to address your mother?'' Lolz..so funny.
Jon..if you happen not to know him, is my sis's bf. All the way from Mauritius. Cool, yeah? Should get him to translate all my French songs. He is one year older than me! Old, yeah? ^^
In the end, it's me with the phone for the whole holidays 24/7, unless I decide to leave it's side. The wonderful thing to note is that all calls to the house are DEFINITELY not mine.
