Hahaha..love the Meiji Choco Bits that Ms Joy gave us today - for being able to 'persuade' the other group members to come over to our group. Obviously, our group has every intention to stay put at our places so to put an end to the whole game - Eliz and Zhinian had to come over. Lol..so we 'won'.

Today, our dear econs students had their lecture test. Forgot what it was about - like inflation in Singapore context. Lol..great clue she had there.

For Malay, we watched finish the movie. Really touching (: Almost cried but I didn't. Wahaha..
The ending just lifted the sad atmosphere up. T'was really funny. I guess we paid to watch it as well - to pass time. Shhhh...

Hey hey, Karen, if you wanna watch the missing parts of the movie, there's still Youtube (:

Hope there is no CDC on Wednesday because I do not want to miss any CDC sessions. I highly doubt it though. Gonna see a doctor. Who wannna travel all the way to NUS? just reminds me of my secondary school days - most of my time was wasted on travelling. However it is good way to rejuvenate my energy..but I guess I just did it for the sake of staying on the computer for a longer time. muahaha..that was the 'good' old days. Now, it is so much different.

Gonna see my skin doctor, epidermologist(?). My fingers..are not healed yet!!!

Right..now Brenda showed me a finger with an almost similar state as my three fingers. Scary.. Offered her my cream and she rejected it. Lol..

Actually, I have not used the lotion for quite some time already. Personally, I feel that it made my situation worse. However, it started to itch during GP..probably from the pen ink that I accidentally drew on my finger ):

Finally got our SCDF certificate =)
But feeling quite guilty because two of our classmates did not get. Guilt-ridden.
Thank goodness I marked for us, CDC members, so Brenda and I got our cert. Phew! (Think ZN got hers already. Remember the time we skipped CDC session just to attend the Career Fair?) ^^

Tomorrow's April Fools day ~ And I have no plans to make it memorable. Lolz.. :P

I am here to announce that my dear computer is at least 200 mb lighter (:
It's not much but it is a start to clearing up my folder...which is 4.80 Gb ~ o.o ~

There is no lesson today..
which is a little of a relief because my legs and arms are starting to ache from the excercise we did for PC on Friday.

Wai Fun did not ask me to go down for swimming either. So here I am...blogging.

Ongoing construction - spells trouble
- If you happen to drop any of your laundry, you have to ask them to pick it up for you. Otherwise, you will have to wait for the next working day to retrieve back.
- The poor birds have no place to stay for the night ): Now, they are fighting with one another. All because the construction took away two humongous trees and the government had replaced the big trees at the carpark with small tree saplings. Aww..
- Noise pollution, etc.

Lately, there is lightning and thunder - which means the period of the rain is much shorter. However, once it rains, it rains cats and dogs - the violent ones. Lol..

Daddy's gonna buy CDs because my Mum is requesting for a backup access. I suggested the most favourable brand of mine. Hope he manages to purchase them because I want to backup my songs. If not, the computer's hard drive will be overwhelmed and slow down the computer. Nope, I am not complaining but I hope to relieve my folder. Nope, it does not slow down the computer because it is not due to be full. Well..not yet - for the next two years. (:

Yesterday was yet another slack day when I reached back home. Though I have finished my Chem Equi. readings, I still lack practice. Lack practice.. tsk tsk.. ^^

Bio..bio..I doubt my biology tutor will be able to come up with a good solution to solve my problem because for me, it is a personal problem. Personal but motivated by external factors. Ahh..it is so taxing!!

I guess that we all need a break from time to time..
He made his point (:

~~~ I am waiting, oh, waiting for my CDs!! ~~~ ^^
Went to school bright (nope, the sky was still dark - . -) and early; was greeted by a whole big group of leaders who block my access to the lights of the canteen. In the end, I just took a rather short nap to pass my time. I had to be woken up by dear Wai Fun, who managed to come earlier than expected (: First time this year!
But..she wanted to run round the school track. Rejected her offer and quickly quipped that she could join the aunties to run. She countered it by saying that, ''As you said, they are Aunties.'' Gosh, stereotype!! So she resigned herself to doing her Revision Quiz for chemistry lecture. Yup! Couldn't do anything because it was dim at the table that we were sitting.
Next came Zhinian. Quite scary. She came to the table - her hair was quite dishevelled and her hand held a toothbrush. Oh yes, with a TOOTHBRUSH. She asked me if I had 40 cents to spare her. Lol.. Well, that was spent on her energy boost for the morning - her coffee.
After that, everyone came streaming in, the usual people - Shu Hui, Chang Yee, Bee Teng, Yan Ru and sometimes, Glennda, Darren and Kenny(?) --> forgot :P
Zoned out from all the ongoing conversations after that...
Anyway, maths lecture went back to the ultra slow speed but I finally understood most of the terms and important proving techniques. She is actually not a bad lecturer as she could bring across the concepts well. However, I just wish that she would go faster. ^^
GP lesson..just realised how much I have learnt for writing of thesis statement and how 'off' we went for our structured body paragraph. I think everyone was amazed by her beautifully crafted impromptu argument/stand. Wow!! Vocab was also a plus plus.. lolz..kk, shan't go on. She was just amazing and made things look so easy to write out.
One break, Hui Wen and I were engrossed about going overseas after our A levels - to Bangkok, Cambodia, Egypt, Europe, Japan. Lolz..extremely funny. All the way to Bangkok just to see one of the seven wonders of the world, Ang Kor Wat and SHOPPING! Woo HOOooooo? Lots of scams, thefts and crimes that worried us BUT Hui Wen came up with a perfect solution. Just invite one guy (shan't say who ^^ but feel free to guess) and all the girls would be safe. Muahaha.. Pao Qi our class guys..lol. Her idea. - . -
Then there was a guy whom Hui Wen knew personally who went into one of the Pyramids for two to three hours. Guess what?
When he arrived back in Singapore, he developed a skin problem, whereby there were itches and sensitive skin problems. When he went for a checkup in the hospital, he found out that he contracted an incurable skin disease/infection - apparently caused by a mutated form of bacteria in the Pyramid which found its way into his body system.
Wahhh....scary ain't it? Now, pyramids are just meant for looking from afar (:
Our first Chem Skill A lesson was pretty smooth-going. The consequence of staying up overnight was starting to impose a rather bad impact on ZN because she started blurting out reagents which are unrelated to the experiment being carried out. The most anticipated silver mirror, which I thought could be made easily in our labs turned out to be clumps of grey precipitate. I was so disappointed. On the other hand, there was this cheery bright orange precipitate upon the positive result of Brady's reagent. ^^
Overall, it is definitely much simpler than biology. In terms of memorising, both impose as much effort so the difficulty is the same for both.
Going home was a chore..
Even if it is just once, it was all the reassurance I need.
BAM!
Tomorrow..
First-aid duty throughout the day till 12 noon. I am hoping that we could excuse ourselves a little earlier to catch the one and half hour of maths lecture tomorrow.
When time flies, it passes really fast but once you make use of every second & occupy yourself, it will be all as worthwhile as you make it be.
I really hope Brenda would arrive in school early tomorrow, especially since we have to take over the people from the night shift. Either way, one of us must reach there so that we can relieve the other members.
Yup, we have the whole BMS (Business Management Centre) all to ourselves for first aid (:
Just get a feeling that we will be fooling around - . -''
Please prove me otherwise.
For Biology today, we received back our test papers. Sigh..didn't do as well again, again. It just hit me when we did our reflections and I have no idea how to make it across on paper. Reflecting.. Chemistry and Maths just tripled the dosage :(
Right..so I broke my promise, I did not come back after my nap. Muahaha!!
So, Gina is Brenda's new lucky charm.. lolz (:
Civics today,
TIME management..procrastination..always have the end in mind..excell over others..urgent..important..connection..value..significance..friends..studies..constant growth..personal development..love..timeline..past..gift=present..distractions..courage..relationships..definite success rate?..virtual vs. reality
..PRIORITISE!
..information overload. Pls sum it up yourself. Haha.
Sometimes, I feel that everything just comes flowing in big chunks but digestable once you concentrate. It just comes at the right time, even when you least expected them to happen.
I so DO not regret not wearing my goggles yesterday. My eyes still hurt..
Before I forget..lol
We went for malay lessons today (: Our teacher remembered us..for not attending her lessons last week. Gosh! We didn't say anything and let her assume why we skipped class. ^^
Well, Ernest did take our place last week..So it's either you get us three or him. yup! The class response today was rather poor today and almost the whole class did not listen to her speak at the later part of the lesson. Felt really bad for her and I know that it definitely very difficult to teach, especially when the class is not paying attention.
Well well, we watched a movie today - Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? [I remembered! (: ] And I did a little homework and found that it is not in Crunchyroll.
Nope, do not be sad because I found it on another website =)
Here's the link to all the videos for the movie. Lol..at times, I really love YouTube.
http://youtube.com/profile_videos?user=boypret
So if you want to see clearer the most 'exciting' (or climax) of the scene we left off, then feel free to do so.
For me, I shall leave it to next week. >.<
Yeah..we have two new classmates =) We met one today, she caught us with surprise. Never expect any new additions to our already-small class size. Her name's Gina. The other girl did not come to school today. Yup! Both are girls. Heheh..girl power!
Alright..shall go take a nap. Might update this post a little more later.
Shall make this a quick post..
Both my mum and I are terribly upset over the hairdresser who attended to me. She over the fact that her skills are not better than her elder sister's. Yup! Both sisters are working as hairdressers in their shop. Cool yeah? They almost look alike too ^^ And..me over the fact that my mum asked her snip off most of my hair. Ahhhh!!! It's too short! I am going to have a super hard time tying it up now. Sobs.. Especially when I am so used to my long hair. Of course it feels so much lighter now. =) That's the plus point. Overall, I hate cutting hair. It is scary..it has always been.
My homework is still piling up :/
There is no PC on Tuesday but I really want to train up my arm muscles..sigh.
@ 3:05 PM
It is really late and my eyes are close to shutting..
Got to stay awake and wait with my father for the van to arrive and pick him up. Yup..strange though, since it's already an hour past midnight and he worked through the day as well. He is getting his rest now. Currently hope that both of us do not sleep through the call.
In the meantime, just to stay awake..
I really have to comment that the moon today is especially round but not as beautiful as the one I saw during the Chinese New Year period. The sky feels really empty, dark and gloomy without the moon.
Feel like lying down on a patch of grass, admire the night sky and chat. The perfect relaxation. Anyone up for it? Lol...
Oh yea..I felt really strange with my extremely long fringe and because my mum had to work today, I decided to take matters with my own hands. Took the scissors and snip a few strands of hair about 4-5 cm each. Horrified with my artwork! Ahhh...I really have to down tomorrow to get my well-deserved haircut. - . - ''
Just thinking about it, lots of us wanna go cut our hair this weekend. Brenda, Karen, Bee Teng (who got hers done already) and me. =)
Mine is still pending..if it rains tomorrow, then next week it is! ^^
I am ALMOST done with my Ionic Equilibrium notes. It is so difficult to understand but I finally grasped a couple of important concepts that will help me for the assignments I have for it. Yup! I still have the 3 sets of Ionic Equilibrium (cum Chemical Equilibrium) worksheets to complete. Imagine..I took 4 days!!
Alright, I can't stay up anymore! My eyes are hurting now..strenuous.
I think I really have to change my spectacles. It feels like my degree has gone up (and definitely has not stabilised yet) again. Brenda!!! When are we going to visit the optician?? ^^
Yikes! I can't help it..
Korean fans of Big Bang, especially that of talented artiste T.O.P, who is featured in the latest MV of Gummy had a role to play. First, it was apparent that he was to promote the album for her. Haiz..especially with the fast shot to fame in a matter of months after the release of Big Bang's first single/album. Second, he had a kissing/almost-kissing scene with Sandara Park. Gosh! His fans, especially the girls, are making a huge fuss over it. - . - ''
Well, it was reported that it is a highly searched topic on Korean search engines. Lol..Can't help but become hysterical over it. My bad..
But the real issue is, is this part and parcel of using them to promote an album? They seem to have gotten the limelight instead..
Well, that's what I am here for.. ^^
Well well..Wai Fun did ask me to go along with her for swimming but I declined the offer. Not that I have a choice either..I hate monthlies. Oh well, perhaps next week?
Thurday:
Just when I thought it was going along fine, it was all too much of a coincidence..and it just happened. Now, it is a feeling of uneasiness. Everything went into a downfall. All I can think of now is that I am exhausted from saving 'you' from every fall.
Friday:
At first, I could have tagged along with my parents to Johor today but as time drags, I became more and more lethargic. In the end, I remained at home with the company of my beloved computer. ^^
But I regretted..since the traffic at the Causeway was especially smooth today. The daily reports of the congestion and slow traffic must have successfully caused people to stay void of the Causeway.
I could have gone and got my hair cut today. The good thing was that it rained extremely heavily today and I finally heard thunder and saw lightning. Lol.. Created the best atmostphere to stay at home. Yeah, lazy me.
I guess it takes more to drag me out of the house.. =/
Due for first-aid duty soon,
Contemplating on whether to do on Thursday or Friday. Either way, we would still have to miss important lectures cum tutorials, don't we? Think, think..
Tomorrow..
All the best for your tournament =)
Back!
..and I am still guilty of skipping Malay lessons today. The thought of the upcoming Maths block test is scaring me and the 1 hour long Biology Skill A still yet to be completed. So we decided to just skip this once. Ahhhh..I cannot take it. I have never done this before..boo hoo hoo. Guilt-ridden.
On a brighter note, I have finally completed my Skill A2! ^^ I am so happy. One down and a major one to go. I also just realised that I can postpone my English summary till tomorrow. Haha..thought that our next GP lesson was tomorrow.
School today was really fun. Better than staying cooped at home.
Let's see..
Muahaha..yeah, I remember this one. Classic. Noel was asking(more like demanding) us for Maths assignments to be handed in when we were buying food. Gosh! Then being cheeky, we said that if he were to hand in Geog/Bio homework then we would hand it to him (Big thanks to Karen..lol) . Stunned. Haha. Anyway, I followed it up when I reached the classroom. No choice. A subject rep has to do what she has to do. - . - In the end, I got 1 more geography assignment handed in. Extremely happy.
For our peers who took the Tourism course for Culture Studies are having their 'anticipated' field trip. haha..just one trip down to bring a close to their culture studies period. I, on the otherhand, is still left with unknown number of lessons. Gosh..I wonder how many. For us, we have to take a test, which I hope is some oral passage reading. Lol..I don't want to burden my mind on learning any more new malay vocabulary. I get a headache when I read the book. Heheh..nope, I am not exaggerating.
Hmm..what else.
Tomorrow is 'Start the Day with PC'! waaahhhh. PC is known to have exhausted our energy for the day and in an extremely bad way too, especially if it is the first period of the day. On the other hand, the great news about the change in timetable is such that we would end our Fridays much earlier than before. Even if it is for half an hour. Cheers to the 1 and a half hour slot for Chemistry practical. ^^
But..
It will not take effect until next Friday because it is GOOD FRIDAY! Woohoo!!
Maybe I will go out on Friday.. =)
Received news
..from my OG mate that there may be a hints in the revision maths book but..what difference does it make if you do not prepare for it. Lol..but hope it helps whoever who is reading this.
Of course, this piece of information is from the subject tutors but I was not informed of it.
But it is okay. Either way, I really hope I am prepared for this.
To ALL..good luck for the Maths Block Test tomorrow!!! ^^
I am going to announce that Evan Yoo Ho Suk is going to release his second album after my most loved song of 2007 (nope, it is not Big Bang :P)..in 2 days time! Hope hope it sounds as good as the first album. Yup..I am so going to look forward for it today. =)
Today is rush hour for all my homework assignments. The terrible thing is that I realised that everything is all due by TOMORROW! Plus, they are all three-quarter done by now. Reporting at 5pm. Lol.. I am so not going to make it in time for tomorrow.
I am praying that this sky would at least order it's heaviest showers for this entire week by an hour's time so that I can leave for home and have more time with my homework. Lol..
There is this praying session that is funded by someone (obviously). No idea who, no idea what is going on but I definitely know that they are making lots of noise. Yup, first is noise pollution. The second one just happened yesterday. Guess? Air pollution. Come on, they pray and burn something at the very least when they have completed the procedures.
Complicated..but I shan't elaborate further because they are getting louder as I type.
A couple of hours later, I am due somewhere but I am not up to it at all. No, this body of mine is on a rejecting mode. Rejecting the urge to leave the house because it is bound to fail out there. Haha, yeah..still feeling quite sick. Recovering but not feeling up to it at all.
Today, I shall complete as much as I can for assignments. I cannot say the same for revision though. Feels quite strange studying in the kitchen area because all the food is surrounding me. Found myself really occupied with food throughout my assignment. Can't help it. ^^ Lots to do..and there is still this 1 over hour long commitment to Bio Spa A2. Gosh..hope I grasp the skills to write extremely fast and conjure up a better experiment than the last.
Hope and really hope that the whole class, including myself gives a more ideal apparatus and experiment procedures...Or we would end up with another round of hilarious pratical session. Juggling 10 test-tubes at one go, waiting forever for the iodine to turn back to yellowish-brown (which will never happen, instead, it turns colourless. lol); using up all the ioding solution, distilled water (which is expensive) and Benedict's solution, etc. The list goes on... ^^
I still cannot forget the mocking smile she gave me/us when I dropped the iodine solution into the starch solution. Almost released the test tube because of her. Did not dare to drop the iodine solution in as well. Really funny. Kept laughing throughout the session.
Alright! Later would be my 10-items show. Muahaha..see if they manage to find all the hidden items. Last week's show was short but funny because the artiste was extremely ignorant of her surroundings. She wasted so much time. Lol..
I just remembered! I need to purchase a correction tape before it runs out. This correction tape was a living nightmare for some of my classmates. There was one time I almost spoilt it because I was super excited about the GP essay. After that, we had that Biology SPA assessment. Thankfully the tape was plastic and not the paper kind so with it withstood all my frustrated actions to fix it.
Yeah..so it is like running against rust. For me, it was totally fine because I always apply lots of force when I am writing. It spelt differently for the rest. They tried so hard to make it work. Some failed. Some managed to get the hang of it. Lol. That's for using the correction tape and being super lazy to get yours out. Wahaha..not that I mind anyway. ^^ It was hilarious. Almost broke into fits of laughter in one of the tutorials. Desperation..
The sky is playing tricks on me! For the very first time in this whole entire week, it has maintained it bright shiny weather for more than 6 hours. Then it started to turn gloomy because of the hovering dark clouds and I really thought it was going to rain. Nope, it decided to hold it much longer. Then, the sun was shining as bright as ever! A couple of hours later, the sky started to darken again. I decided to close the windows this time because I did not want to take the chance. Bad choice. The sky is sure having tantrums. Never mind..it finally rained after repeating this a couple of times. It completely made me exhausted. For this, I am pretty sure it is very successful.
Spent most of my wonderful time here on the computer doing useful stuff. Completed at least three quarter of the Period 3 element Chemistry lecture. I think the Chemistry teachers are being really too ambitious. I thought they would just give us the powerpoints as they are but they decided to do the voice-over, such that we could follow the lecture like it was the actual thing itself.
But..the teacher was speaking so quickly and there were important notes to take down. I had to repeat each slide more than 4 times to get everything down before I tried to comprehend what the teacher was explaining. Gosh! It took forever! Started at 9:45am and ended at about 12:30pm.
Of course there were distractions..but they were kept to a minimal. If it were the case, I would have preferred the very first powerpoint they sent us on for the same set of lecture notes.
All in all, it was a chore.
Going to attempt completing the entire pile of homework by tomorrow. I wonder what I am left with.
Major test to prepare for next week. Upcoming 2 hour-long Maths test. I wonder how many questions there will be. Not sure if I am prepared for it though. Big ambitions..come with many setbacks.
It is finally raining..my mum hopefully comes home after this downpour. The likelihood of this rain being torrential will be extremely high, since the clouds have waited for this time to come.
Drip drop drip drop..boom! Oh yeah..I have not heard the thunder or seen any lightning for this past week. Kind of miss it.. Of course we will not see it. Haha..since the rain is a long-lasting one that stretches for more than 3-7 hours. ^^
Tonight will be an enjoyably cooling.
Left the phone for a while and..BOOM! About 5 SmS from Sharifa. I was so stunned! Then, I read, thinking that my name will not appear at all. Lol..what have I done this past 1 year to get over 70 hours? Gosh..it seems a bit of little impact on me. Guilty-strickened.
Very quickly, the holidays have reached mid-way. Have I even made good use of this holidays for revision? ^^
I totally love my suckerfish loads. Why?
1) It makes the fish tank really clean! (Or is it because I happen to forget to feed them..whoops!)
2) It's a baby suckerfish. Aww..considered the smallest of all the suckerfish I have so far.
3) It is not afraid of humans. The very first..
Love it..totally! ^^
Kickstarted on the article searching yesterday, as part of an excuse to use the computer a little longer. I thought that maybe medical science was quite an interesting topic until nothing extraordinary appeared. Now..why can't I use ScienceDaily to research on the topics? It is so much more updated and resourceful than Times, Newsweek, Economist under the updates of science technology. I must really raise this up to my dear GP tutor. Sigh..must make do with it.
In addition to my research attempt, I only found environment the most updated with lots of examples to quote and such. No, I shall not look into environment for now. Yes, I shall turn to other areas, or else my essay would be science turned an essay all about environment issues.
Took 2 hours to find articles. Pretty happy with 2 but I was thinking of changing the last one. Maybe I shall take some time off later to search the sites again. The more I think about it, the more I feel like doing politics. Lolz..
Hitler, Stalin, Napoleon, nuclear arms race. Shall save that for the Government topic.
Sigh..should not have thought so much about the class outing. Because they cancelled it in the end. Not many could make it down today. Moreover, the rain is calling us back home to have a nice long afternoon nap. Ain't the sky so thoughtful for us? Providing the right atmosphere for complete relaxation. Perfect! Just perfect! =)
Today's lunch was chicken! My mum may be going to KFC to work. Wahahaha..Does that mean I will get lots of Mash Potato every month as a treat? ^^
Don't get excited just yet..not sure if she was selected. Lol.. Shhh...
Here's my famous edit! For everyone who is alert and manage to see that I have added some extra paragraph below..
My mum bought a box of grapes of two colours of rich purple and pale green. They seem to have hibernated in the fridge for at least a week. Now, my mother is on a 'spree' to get rid of them as quickly as she can. Now, who wouldn't like grapes? The problem lies right here..Those tempting juicy oval-shaped fruits look so succulent and sweet that you would want to eat it right away. The plus thing is that they are seedless. It is like everything is just laid right before your eyes to consume without having to do more than just popping them into your mouth.
My mum's grapes were completely sour. Extremely sour. They have gone from the sweet sour taste to the intolerable sour taste of today. Every bowl of grapes she brings in surpass the level of sourness of the day before.
Conclusion? They have surpassed the sour tape that I have craved for during Term 1. I think I have gotten enough for this week. This must be part of the reason why I have a bad tummy ache this morning. Hmmph..
I think I should revert back to my chocolate sweet tooth. Yummz...craving for chocolates! ^^
First of all, Ms Wun's biology tutorial was a success..in a way that I managed to stay awake! But, there's always a but..felt really exhausted after that long, yet worthwhile lesson. One of the many subjects that has kept my attention span the longest this year.
Forgo lunch with the rest today because..
1) Half-eaten lunch of yesterday that has yet to be finished
2) Feeling quite drained
3) Don't feel like travelling
Haha. Oh well, I am pretty satisfied with my decision because for the rest of the day, my throat felt like I have eaten lots of fried food. It felt really dry, oily. I predict that I will get a sore throat tomorrow.
Nope, I do not think I can make it down tomorrow. My body is still not up to it yet. Feeling a bit of a headache and slightly feverish. Yup! But enjoy yourselves tomorrow..with all the wondrous delicacies you all manage to find. Ahhh..so jealous. Have always wanted to attend one of such event. Oh well..health comes first this time. =)
All the sky can do now is to rain non-stop around the late mornings and throughout the afternoon. Where is the sun? Where is the fluffy white clouds against the clear blue sky? Drive away the gloominess that has loomed for the past week.
Shall blast my whole of tomorrow with the piling homework..provided if I am feeling better (obviously). Roar..have wasted an entire 3-4 days of my precious holidays on recovering. It's okay..well deserved rest. Haha..
I was really getting worried over the fact that I came up with a rather queer question, which was unexpected of me to ask. Yeah..I was super hyper at that time, or else I would not have asked. heheh..then, there was complete silence for 1 over week. That made me ponder if that had raised hopes. What was that question? I forgot :P
But it was capable of bugging me..
Glad it's over!
Yawns..I hate it when I just rot at home, watching people come online and go offline and switching between the computer, studying materials and the most comfortable bed. I love it because it has become a habit, a routine I can never do without. Yup, it's contradicting. Yup, this is called sitting on the fence. Wait a minute..is this the same theoretical concept of sitting on the fence?
Came down with a fever, definitely not a great way to start the holidays. Also, I observed that I always have fever either during exams or during holidays. I wonder what went wrong.
My classmates want to go indulge in food on Thursday but with this fever, I am not even sure if I can survive Biology tutorial tomorrow. I have not even complete tutorial 25 and took the entire morning and afternoon to complete 2 questions. Gosh..it has never been this bad but it cannot really be helped, can it?
Yup..self-medicate, I think it's the best way to cure my fever. Not sure if the cancellation of chemistry lecture is a relief or a burden because we are definitely due to return during June holidays for extra lecture cum tutorials.
Slept and woke up because my mum called to ask if I was okay. Like always, I picked up the phone just when she gave up because I heard the phone being put down. Talk about bad timing. I only called her an hour later.
Today?
I went to the post office to collect the all-time due collection of a registered mail for my father. Luckily I set off early because an hour or so after I came back, it started to rain..until now. Bought my lunch but it has been half-eaten.
Should I go for tomorrow's tutorial? I know I have to but my headache seems to get worse and worse. Sleeping does not help at all..
Eeek..please do not blame me if I happen to reject any your calls via my house phone. I currently have a phobia of phones.
Case 1:
On a wonderful evening, when I was trying really hard to cram Chemistry, lots of phone calls came. First, it was my mum's friend who kindly accepted that my mum was still working. She called half an hour later and asked for my mum again. This time, she sounded as if my mum owed her something, quite demanding but in reality, that was her original tone. Scary.. Then she called again, half an hour later, I was rather afraid of the phone now but still accepted the call because my father was busy with the dishes.
Thankfully..my mum came back =)
....end of ordeal 1.
Case 2:
On that very same evening, before my dinner..my aunt called and spoke in Chinese. She was excited about something but I had no idea what it was. Yup..a few seconds later, she put down the phone. Before doing that, she said she would call my mum's office. Okay, good one, xiaohua.
By then, my father and I were quite irritated by the phone..
So when dinner came, aunt called the house to no avail.
Why?
'Cos both me and my father decided to ignore it..Lol
No escaping..because very soon later, my father's handphone began to ring. Gosh! My desperate aunt!!
When he answered, it was just about an upcoming Family Day all over at the other end of Singapore, held last Saturday. Sigh..should have known.
Case 3:
..which happened to be yesterday. My mum called while I was having my habitual Saturday afternoon nap. Yup..made her give up on me =) Decided to wait for the person to hang up but the incessant ringing grew on me.
And so I tried..I tried to take my time to crawl across the bed. It took ages..but when I reached there, my mum hung up. - . -
Tried to sleep again but to no avail..so I woke up to sit in front on the computer. 5 mins later..it came again. Picked it up..the question asked, ''Can you check for me if there is any spaghetti left?'' Roar!!
Case 4:
..which just happened a couple of hours ago. Jie called..both my father and I picked up at the same time. Quite freaky..because my mum was complaining that she could not get to my sister via her handphone throughout my dinner. Haiz..was expecting a less lively dinner but it turned to be more of a nag on..me. It's not my fault. =(
So..as if my sister can read her mind, she called. yay! Never talked to her though..
About 15-30 mins later, Jon called. Mum picked up this time..one in ten calls. - . - Whoa! Spoke with a different accent that almost made my mum hung up on him. Wahahaha..that would have been entertaining. Question asked when it was transferred to me, "May I know how to address your mother?'' Lolz..so funny.
Jon..if you happen not to know him, is my sis's bf. All the way from Mauritius. Cool, yeah? Should get him to translate all my French songs. He is one year older than me! Old, yeah? ^^
In the end, it's me with the phone for the whole holidays 24/7, unless I decide to leave it's side. The wonderful thing to note is that all calls to the house are DEFINITELY not mine.
Pics of holidays that my family went in '07 and '08!
Yup! I know it is really late but here they are! =)
Genting Highlands! Miss the place loads and it's freeezzzin' cold..brrrr.
Up the winding road which took more than 4 hours up but took less than 3 hours to go down. Almost puked but I survived the trip. =)
The breathtaking view of the tea plantation
Clean cool air..your health will definitely improve over here.
Haha..my sis was really fascinated with this. So here it is..said it was romantic - . -
What do you think? Lol..
Flower-overload!
Big sunflower..the nicest around.
Zooooommm Innn..Beautiful right? It's so fresh too! Better than the school's mini one..which died a week or so later.
From the hotel room..
The insect paradise! Was quite fascinated with it a couple of years back..but I can't recall it's name now. Doesn't it remind you of a rhino? ^^
Aww...doesn't it look adorable?! Feel like hugging it. ^^
Butterflies..flutter flutter. Really scary..when I was younger, I heard that if the butterfly flies past your eyes, the powdery they leave behind in their trail can lead to blindness. This is why I avoid butterflies whenever they flutter past. BUT..aren't they beautiful?
Have you ever seen the flower of the aloe vera? Here it is!! ^^
Bird of Paradise
WARNING! Picture-heavy. Prepare for a long upload waiting time. Best seen in the morning when the Internet speed is much faster and more efficient than at night. lol.
All the way..had a diversion to First World Hotel at Genting Highlands but I am really glad that it was the first destination. Can't resist the subsequent places that we visited, especially Cameron Highlands =)
At the First World Hotel lobby
Love the decorations!
Look look! My father's a better photographer, unlike my sis's (above). Lol
Really love how they decorated the shop window.
Another perspective..
Guess who's behind the camera? Haha..girl power!
Ain't this familiar?
Before we left..almost the last to arrive the meeting area.
Read read! It's a genuine tea shop!
Flower-flower combine! Love them so! Wanted to bring them back home though but it's best to leave them as such..for others to admire. Heh.. =)
Sunflowers indeed..
My mum's fascination. My sis and I were like looking away and laughing when my father was taking the picture. She insisted that she must take with the person who is frying. Lol..
That is the food she bought..tasted really oily.
Gosh! Pink! All pink!! Chen Yuan's favourite colour!!!
Do you see that rectangular structure? Something like a bridge, with the word 'EQUATORIAL'? Guess what it is?
It's the water tank!! Haha..never guessed that right?
This is matriach..the leader. It's a she. Too bad she's not looking at the camera.
After the whole trip, I really do not like monkeys as a whole. Why?
This particular monkey was eating some fruit and suddenly dropped the fruit onto the ground. I thought it was going to pick it up but it started charging at me. I was so scared. It bit me at my leg and left a mark. Thank goodness it was a slight injury because I was wearing the track pants. Should have worn my jeans.
Too scared to run down because I am afraid of steps. Never had luck with steps. Once you fall, you may die. Cos it's a flight of steps up..100+ steps. Not to my favour. So I stood stunned and just screamed. Ahhh...lucky my tour guide was around and started hitting the monkey.
Had trouble coming down because I was really shaken up. If not for my mum, I would have just broke down. Sigh..cos my father and sister had already reached the bottom of the steps. So next time, I am never going near those monkeys!
NEVER! Lol..
That will be my bad experience at Cameron that I hope will not give me nightmares. The teeth it bared at me..really scary.
